Prepare an Approved University Tie Brief
Assign an artwork code to each group and occasion, covering the authorized crest, name, monogram, colors, pattern, dimensions, and quantity. Separate college, faculty, alumni, society, and event versions before sampling. Keep one approval record for procurement, design, and production, using only rights confirmed by the buyer.
University Identity and Tie Details
Institutional colors and marks can be carried into ties for colleges, alumni and campus organizations. Labels and presentation distinguish each range.
Define the University Tie Program
Identify the owner, wearer, occasion and approval route for each tie before design development.
- Official Campus Wear
Identify the responsible unit, intended wearer, authorized marks, and internal approval contact for formal institutional neckwear. - College or Faculty Identity
Define the colors, wording, or artwork that distinguish each college, faculty, school, or department version and assign a unique code. - Alumni Association
Membership, reunion, recognition, and presentation ties may share an alumni identity. Separate permanent and event-specific artwork and confirm rights for every mark. - Student Society or Club
Supply the approved organization name, authorized relationship to the university, wearer profile, and quantity for a formal membership tie. - Ceremony or Commemorative Project
Specify the graduation, anniversary, conference, or other campus occasion, approved date or event artwork, distribution plan, required date, and expected reorders.
Crest and Logo Methods
Choose a method suited to the approved artwork, material, visual scale and intended placement, then confirm it on the sample.
- Jacquard-Woven Crest or Monogram
Repeated crests, initials, or motifs can be integrated into the fabric. Simplify fine artwork where needed and approve motif size, repeat, colors, and legibility on the selected material. - Embroidered Crest
Approve stitch artwork, dimensions, position, thread colors, and how the badge or crest sits on the tie sample. - Screen-Printed Identity
Logo or text artwork must suit the print scale and color count. Check edges, placement, colors, and material compatibility before approval. - Heat-Transfer or Digital Print
Approve file quality, finished size, placement, color reference, and sample appearance for multicolor or detailed graphics. - Foil Detail
Selected identity accents may suit a foil effect. Review availability, color, scale, placement, and durability expectations for the project.
Coordinate University Colors and Pattern
Set colors and patterns from buyer-approved references, then review them together on the physical sample.
- Solid Institutional Color
Supply a Pantone, fabric, current tie, photo, or physical reference for the approved university or college color. Approve the result on the material. - Striped College Palette
Define stripe direction, widths, spacing, color order, repeat, and finished-blade scale for two or more institutional colors. - Repeated Crest or Monogram
Approve the small woven or printed motif’s size, spacing, orientation, colors, and the buyer’s authorization to use it. - Placement Logo Design
Mark the approved logo or crest’s position and dimensions on artwork, then approve visibility at the selected tie size. - Printed Event Pattern
Keep approved multicolor artwork for ceremonies, anniversaries, conferences, or alumni events under its own code. Confirm whether it may be reordered after the event.
Select Adult Tie Dimensions
Select width and length for each adult wearer group, styling brief, and approved sample.
- 6 cm Width
A narrower adult profile. Review the crest, stripe repeat, and placement artwork at this blade width. - 7 cm Width
A moderately narrow adult proportion. Approve its appearance with the selected length and identity treatment. - 8 cm Width
A fuller blade for formal university ties. Check motif scale, stripe repeat, and knot-area appearance on the sample. - 9 or 10 cm Width
Broader, traditional proportions change the visible pattern scale. Review artwork and repeat again at the selected width. - 135 to 145 cm Length
Allocate quantities by exact length for adult groups using the shorter confirmed range. Keep those options under separate codes. - 150 to 155 cm Length
Approve each exact length and quantity for adult groups using the longer confirmed range. Other dimensions require separate pattern and sample review.
Prepare the University Order Matrix
Identify each order line for consistent artwork, sampling, packing, receiving, and replenishment.
- Program Code
Assign a unique code to each approved owner and intended use when managing multiple colleges, groups, occasions, or annual projects. - Artwork Version
Link the final approved file and sample to the correct program code for related crests, names, colors, or event graphics. Do not reuse unapproved artwork. - Dimension Split
List each exact adult width, length, and quantity as a separate order line. - Label and Pack Code
Specify the brand, size, or care label, hang tag, and packing combination for each variant before quotation. - Quantity by Variant
List quantities by variant. The standard MOQ is 100 pieces; requirements for each variant need confirmation.
